#230 Watch an old Superman movie ✔

Up until now, I had never watched a Superman movie. I have always been a Marvel girl. I have always been a Spider-Man and Fantastic Four kind of girl. However, being the nerd that I am, I knew of Superman, I knew his backstory and I knew his powers, but I had never watched any of the live action movies. So, I decided that it had to be something I needed to do at least once in my life time. Furthermore, I decided to start right at the beginning, with the 1978, 3 hour long, Christopher Reeves edition. And oh dear, did I have mixed feelings concerning that movie. But, at least the special effects kept me entertained. Not to mention the beauty that was Lois Lane. Despite the cheesiness of the movie, and the old fashioned, ridiculous special effects, I would be more than happy to watch the second, and even the third Christopher Reeve's Superman movies just to see Lois Lane. What I learnt from the experience was that, special effects have come a very long way since the late 70's, and that Superman is actually a very kind, interesting, powerful hero. A "force to be reckoned with".
