This goal helped me face my fear of knives, a little bit. And it was really fun to do, thus I suggest if you haven't done this before (no matter your age) you give it a try. A few notes to point out, now that I'm a pumpkin carving professional *cough* *cough*.

1. Don't use so much force that you either scratch the surface that you are using, or go through it entirely.

2. Use actual carving tools. (Knives work fine, but carvign tools would probably allowed for better precision.

3. Try your best to keep the mess contained so it's easier to clean up afterwards.

And finally,

4. Have fun! And make sure that one day when your life flashes before your eyes that it's worth watching.

(Review) The Woman in Black by Susan Hill

The book wasn't as scary as I hoped it would be. At times I was slightly creeped out but not enough to enjoy it. The ending I felt was rushed and I prefer the ending of the movie to the book. I liked how the book helped enlighten several questions that were left unanswered by the movie, and thus found the book enjoyable in that sense.
