This past month I’ve felt more and more as though I’m getting closer to the person I want to be. I put immense amounts of effort into my work every day, I eat healthy, I work out, I’ve gotten into good healthy mental habits such as reading and writing in the mornings. I’m being more consistent than I’ve ever been on my YouTube channel. And despite it all being extremely hard work, I feel pretty damn good. It makes me think of the quote by Henry Ford that said “if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” And that’s exactly what I used to do, I kept doing the same thing over and over, and that was to waste my time doing things that would never allow me to progress into the life that I wanted. I kept thinking that it would all just come to me in the right time, refusing to see the link between work and progress. But now I understand that if one wants to get ANYWHERE in this life, one must first put in the work to get there, or they’ll forever remain stagnant. It’s funny the ways in which life teaches us lessons if we’re willing to learn.
