Two old people walking through a forest

I have been able to find full audiobooks on YouTube, were you aware they some people often upload full audiobooks to YouTube? It’s great for someone like me who enjoys a good audiobook from time to time and doesn't really want to fund the greedy piece of shit that runs Amazon by subscribing to Audible. I also know there are other audiobook providers but at the money finance is tight and so this new finding is fantastic. Anyways one of the books that I recently heard on YT was The Folcroft Ghosts by Darcy Coates. It reminded me A LOT of the creepy horror movie The Visit. The two share similarities like two kids, a boy and a girl (probably about the same age) visiting grandparents they have never met, seen or heard from. The grandparents act extremely strange and do abnormal things once night falls. The twist at the end is also rather similar (which I shall not spoil, cause that’s what makes them good). I wonder if they took inspiration from each other? Anyways, The book, The Folcroft Ghosts, has the added advantage of paranormal activity, something I extremely love in my readings and watching's. Throughout the book it is difficult for me to choose whether the ghosts are most terrifying or the human, living, breathing grandparents themselves. As the story began I had an inclining of what would conspire, maybe from having already watched The Visit, but, there were many, many plot twists I was not expecting and absolutely loved. Definitely worth the read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
