673. Dip Dye my Hair ✅

On July 24th, 2024, I crossed off another goal from my ever-growing bucket list, and let me tell you, this one was a doozy. Goal 673—dip dye my hair a thrilling, out-of-this-world colour—was officially completed, and I couldn’t be happier. This wasn't just about adding a pop of colour to my hair; it was about adding a pop of joy to my life. I was in desperate need of some major self-care, and what better way to show myself some love than by plunging headfirst into the world of vibrant hair dye?

Lately, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery, learning how to love myself all over again. And let me tell you, part of that journey involves not giving a flying fig about what other people think. For the longest time, I played it safe, keeping my hair within the acceptable spectrum of browns. But deep down, I knew I wanted something more—something that screamed, “I don’t give a shit about your opinions!” Enter: light blue. This fantastical colour spoke to me like nothing else. It was bold, daring, and a little bit rebellious—exactly what I needed.

The moment the dye hit my hair, I felt an electrifying sense of freedom. Watching those tips transform into a stunning shade of light blues was nothing short of magical. It was like I was shedding an old layer of myself, stepping out of my comfort zone and into a world where self-expression knows no bounds. I could feel the weight of other people's judgments lifting off my shoulders with each passing minute. The joy I felt wasn’t just from the vibrant hue now gracing my hair, but from the act of letting go, of embracing the thrill of being different.

And let’s talk about that colour—wow! Blue suits me better than I ever imagined. Every time I catch a glimpse of my watery blue tips, I can’t help but smile. It’s like I’m carrying a piece of the ocean with me wherever I go, a constant reminder that I’m allowed to be as wild and untamed as the waves. I look around at the sea of natural hair colours, and instead of feeling out of place, I feel a rush of excitement. Being different is exhilarating, and I’m totally here for it.

This experience has taught me so much more than I expected. It’s not just about the hair; it’s about the journey of self-love and self-discovery. I’m learning to celebrate what makes me unique and to embrace the things that set me apart. And as much as I love my blue tips, I’m already thinking about what colour I’ll try next. Green? Purple? Maybe even a fiery red? The possibilities are endless, and that’s the beauty of it.

For now, though, I’m basking in the glow of my blue-tipped hair. It’s a visual reminder of how far I’ve come on this journey, and how much fun I’m having along the way. Here’s to embracing the thrill of the unknown, to loving ourselves fiercely, and to not giving a damn about what anyone else thinks. Because at the end of the day, it’s your life, your hair, and your joy. And that, my friends, is worth every shade of blue.
